Biography
- Lawrence Biscontini, MA, CDC, is the 2002 Group Fitness Instructor of the Year from the American Council on Exercise. In addition, Lawrence serves on the ACE advisory board. In 2001, he was named "fitness guru expert" by the cast members of ABC's General Hospital in ABC's Soaps in Depth. Lawrence works as a faculty member for AEA, AFAA, AAAI, and ACE, group exercise manager for the Golden Door Spa in Puerto Rico, certified dietary counselor, AFAA International Primary and Mat Science Certification Specialist, a Reebok University master trainer, international bilingual master trainer for Resist-A-Ball®, and creator of his fusion of yoga and T'ai Chi for land, aqua, and ball, titled "Yo-Chi®". Lawrence’s published works can be seen in his books, Yoga Fundamentals: A Fitness Approach and The One-Percent Factor, as well as in several fitness publications, including SELF magazine’s 2001 Self Challenge, ACE’s Faculty News, and AFAA’s revised Theory and Practice.
